I report to the Executive Management of Jana Marine Services and perform the following tasks. Monitoring the Operations, safety, quality, and pollution prevention aspects each ship and Head office departments in Operations / QHSSE as well as ensuring that the ships are provided with adequate resources and shore-based support. Carrying out audits on safety, quality and pollution prevention aspects and other issues related to the received information. Processing & assessing information received through audits. Ensuring that the relevant requirements of the Safety, Security, Quality, and Environmental Management System (QHSSE) / Operations are carried out and maintained. Review of navigation practices / procedures to ensure navigation standards are maintained by adopting improved navigation practices, equipment, training, and procedures. Ensuring that all shipboard accidents, near-misses, and non-conformities are investigated, and that corrective action has been implemented promptly. Ensuring that statistics, analysis of incidents, accidents, near misses, non-conformities, and all observations/findings from internal or third-party inspections, audits, follow-ups, close- outs, etc. are carried out to identify the trends, plans for prevention, training, and improvement throughout the fleet and office. Taking part in programs of risk evaluation to defined potential risks and managing risks in the Operation and QHSSE. Monitoring follow-up procedures and correction of non-conformities in a timely manner. Ensuring that adequate preventive action is initiated, implemented within the fleet in a timebound manner. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements from flag state, local bodies. Ensuring Technical management of Fleet vessels as per company business manual. Additionally, Subsea business development for future business ventures at JMS.
