In addition to my Functional Manager role I will be managing the technical aspects of an application migration project. The planned duration of the project is four months. The goal of the project is to phase-out one application and migrate its data to a new one. At the same time an interface needs to be created between this new application and a third already existing application. Some of the challenges are: -Switching from a DB-to-DB interface to a file based interface. -Dependency on the new applications technical team, which will try to make the old data fit into their application. -Keeping track of other project changes on the applications.
