Future Group – Div. Leanbox Logistics Project 1 - To increase productivity of pick-pack with cost reduction. Deliverables • Trained and defined tasks for the staff and incorporated performance measurement criteria. • Designed pick-pack planning sheet for the team so that they can plan their day’s activity’s pace and utilization • Implemented reward & recognition system pick-pack team to boost performance with reduced absenteeism. • Optimized manpower for pick-pack team to reduce cost as well as to have well defined roles for everyone. Achievements • Reduced change-over time to 20 min from 45 min during loading of a new trip at packing station. • Increased productivity from 61% to 98% , thus achieving the defined output metric for the team. • Reduced errors by 80% that lead to better inventory accuracy and improvement in customer service. • Reduced the number of delivery boys to 3, by converting in-van sorting vehicle to party packed. Project 2 - To eliminate variance wrt. physical and system inventory. Deliverables • Implemented cycle count by dividing inventory according to pareto law on the basis of sales contribution. • Designed SOP to be followed in case of each friction point that can lead to stock mismatch. • Developed a measurement criteria to keep a check on stock accuracy wrt. system and godown. Achievement • Reduced bill editing by 86 % and inventory shrinkage to 0.02% of net sales.
