Vincenzo Cirimele

I graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino where I was Assistant Professor at the Energy Department from November 2017 to September 2020. As of today, I am Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical, electronic, and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi" of the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna where I work on electric mobility, wireless, and conductive charging systems. From September 2020 to November 2021 I was technical responsible for the R&D and Innovation group of Movyon s.p.a., a technological spinoff of Autostrade per l'Italia, where I followed projects related to road infrastructure electrification and energy sustainability. I am one of the co-founders of the startup Enermove s.r.l, a company that deals with wireless charging systems in the industrial sector. From 2014 to 2016 I was a PhD student at the Energy Department of the Politecnico and, from 2015 to 2016, I was a student at the École Electrical, Optical, Bio-Physics and Engineering and I worked at the laboratory of CNRS Génie électrique et électronique de Paris (GeePs) in France. In February 2017 I obtained my PhD in Electronic Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino and my PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Université Paris-Saclay. My research interests concern technologies for electric mobility and smart energy. In the academic field, I have worked mainly on inductive power transmission systems for charging electric vehicles, but I have also dealt with aspects related to the protection of people from exposure to industrial frequency magnetic fields, electromagnetic modeling and power electronics. I am the author of several scientific articles for international journals and conferences. Since 2023, I have been a senior member of the IEEE.
