FNQH skin cancer centre opened in 2016 and has grown rapidly with 2 clinics and a histology lab. I still remember walking the corridors of the shopping center where we are based with the sign “come get your skin check”. We started with ZERO patients and 1 doctor - 8 years on, we now look after 75000 patients with 12 doctors using our premises. Being a business owner, educator and the Vice President of the Skin Cancer college Australasia, my passion is about offering high quality affordable skin cancer care, business expansion and using innovative technology to achieve both the goals. We acquired the Vectra WB360 to become the first ever GP clinic in Australia to do so. We were told that it was “impossible” to open our own pathology lab - after a number of rejections and delays, FNQH pathology came into fruition. We just DON’T like the word “impossible”!! “Thinking out of the box” and steering away from conventional GP business models have helped us grow, thrive and enjoy the journey. Has it been easy - HELL NO but this has opened doors and opened multiple different avenues which we will be working on. We provide hands on training in skin cancer medicine and surgery as well as mentorship in Skin cancer related businesses. If you have any ideas or questions - please feel free to contact me.
