As a Project Manager I am responsible for assisting the Sr Project Manager with all aspects of organizing and conducting the annual ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix AZ. Educating, recruiting and organizing individual volunteers, community groups and businesses who are interested in supporting and participating in the annual event. I am one of the central points of communication between the cemetery officials, veterans organizations, community groups, schools, local businesses and the staff at Wreaths Across America. I meet with interested community members , organizations and businesses to share the message of Wreaths Across America to encourage participation and consistent program growth every year, by maintaining relationships with our supporters and creating new relationships within the community. I help plan, coordinate, manage the annual ceremony that hosts approx. 1000 attendees annually. and coordinate placing of over 6k wreaths, volunteer activities, wreath delivery and other necessary tasks. Create and manage fundraising activities within the community and reaching out to new areas of the community to raise awareness and support with responsibility to increase donations annually. Responsible for management of 2 warranty crews and 28 installation crews..Performed weekly unannounced safety audits on job sites, conducted FA kit and fire extinguisher inspections and refilled or replaced as needed. Ensured that employees were following OSHA silica exposure mitigation protocols ie, wet sawing ,disposable masks, as well as their standard PPE ie Class 2 high viz apparel, gloves, safety toed leather boots hard hats. Conducted tool and cord inspections with any defective items being removed and replaced, so as not to slow production. All repairs of tools were conducted by the in house staff. Delivered water to all crews throughout the day and educated employees on the importance of hydration and signs of heat related illness.
