Throughout my career, I have not only been a designer, but also managed and directed designers and design teams - both as an employee and a consultant. More recently, I have also developed customer service and retail consumer sales experience. I am especially known for my problem solving, rapid visual communication, and general people skills, firmly believing that teamwork and communication is essential to the successful outcome of any project. I enjoy the entire process of design from the initial interaction, brainstorming, ideation, and pre-visualization, all the way through to market research, ergonomic studies, prototypes, project completion, and delivery. If I didn’t love what I do, I wouldn’t still be doing it! Recently I've been focusing more on my pen & ink portraits of dogs, cats,and (their) people - something I've been doing for many years for family and friends..

Responsible for both styling and mechanical design of servers and desktop and tower PCs. Worked directly with Engineering, Marketing, Product Planning and Manufacturing and managed a team of designers, drafters, 3D modelers, and outsourced contractors and vendors to develop our products from concept to production. Visited and worked with our various domestic and offshore vendors and our own Manufacturing Group to clarify and resolve issues and ensure quality execution of our final products. During this period, I was granted several patents and received several design awards.

Provided concept, detail and assembly drawings, manufacturing (visual) aids, material and component selection. Worked with Marketing, Purchasing and Manufacturing to procure and build fully functional advertising and trade show prototypes.

* Created retail packaging mock-ups and finished illustrations for new products, as well as "re-imagining" (illustrating) legacy products * led and participated in focus groups using my drawings and/or models * as a part of the R&D group evaluated outside inventors' concepts and worked with the prototype shop to build working models of both in-house and outside designs * illustrated and wrote instructions for user guides and manuals * designed and mocked-up the modular retail engine display box that, after many years, was only recently "retired". Outside Cox HQ and at local schools and parks I physically tested both tethered and r/c prototypes of airplanes, cars and boats. At the Toy Fair in New York created, supervised and set up new product displays.
