This includes the revision of the Human Capital Index for Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador and disaggregation of the index at a subnational level for Peru and Ecuador. Peru was one of the first countries to include a subnational disaggregation. * Education - Preparation of the proposal for an investment project focused on the closure of the digital divide for the Government of Peru (USD 100 million). - COVID-19 response: provided on-demand technical assistance to the Ministry of Education of Peru to support their distance learning activities: estimations on the learning loss due to school closures, formulation of a reopening plan with UNESCO, UNICEF, and the IADB, support to the drop-out prevention early warning system. - Field Coordinator for the Global Education Policy Dashboard for Peru: supervised data collection for 205 schools and 200 public officials at a national level. Peru was part of the first 13 to implement the GEPD in 2019 and 2020. * Social Protection: - Provide on-demand technical assistance to the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru for the adaptation of their programs. This includes, among other actions, the adaptation of Cuna Mas, the National Early Childhood Development program (USD 50,000.00 competitive trust fund). * Health: - Preparation of technical notes, revision of budget, and deliverables of projects for the Social Health Insurance of Peru (USD 227,000.00 loan and USD 500,000.00 trust fund).
