Support to the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Mission by providing literature and evidence reviews of international ECD experiences, and assessment of current state programs aimed at improving the health and cognitive abilities of children from 0 - 8.

* Human Development - Provided technical assistance for the design, negotiations, and disbursement of a cross-sector loan focused on investments in Human Capital: Education and Social Protection (USD 150 million). - Preparation of Policy Notes for the 2021 elections of Peru. - Preparation of presentations, and revision of data for the Human Capital Project. This includes the revision of the Human Capital Index for Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador and disaggregation of the index at a subnational level for Peru and Ecuador. Peru was one of the first countries to include a subnational disaggregation. * Education - Preparation of the proposal for an investment project focused on the closure of the digital divide for the Government of Peru (USD 100 million). - COVID-19 response: provided on-demand technical assistance to the Ministry of Education of Peru to support their distance learning activities: estimations on the learning loss due to school closures, formulation of a reopening plan with UNESCO, UNICEF, and the IADB, support to the drop-out prevention early warning system. - Field Coordinator for the Global Education Policy Dashboard for Peru: supervised data collection for 205 schools and 200 public officials at a national level. Peru was part of the first 13 to implement the GEPD in 2019 and 2020. * Social Protection: - Provide on-demand technical assistance to the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru for the adaptation of their programs. This includes, among other actions, the adaptation of Cuna Mas, the National Early Childhood Development program (USD 50,000.00 competitive trust fund). * Health: - Preparation of technical notes, revision of budget, and deliverables of projects for the Social Health Insurance of Peru (USD 227,000.00 loan and USD 500,000.00 trust fund).

Assistance in an impact evaluation of the reforms in Peru which focused on formulating a merit-based career path and compensation program for managerial positions in schools at all levels of basic education.

• Analysis and characterization of the career path for school leaders in Peru: administrative burden, supply of school leaders, employment status and performance appraisal of school leaders. • Analysis of school autonomy and accountability for schools in Peru: interviews with school leaders in four regions of Peru, revision of literature and legal framework. 
 • Design of support tools for school leaders: official web page and instructional leadership guidelines.

• Analysis, preparation of reports and data base management of multisector interventions in schools: Qali Warma National School Nutrition Program, School Health Program and y Physical Education Program. • Participation in events sponsored by the Government and the Intergovernmental Organizations (IADB, FAO, UNDP).

• Research Assistant in the International Economic, Business and Relations Research Area: data analysis and preparation of documents regarding international trade and economic development in the Asia-Pacific Region.
