Hi, I’m Verity - founder of Hysteron, and someone in her mid-20s who talks about menopause. Yes, menopause. It’s not a stage I’ve reached personally but I’ve witnessed the impact. In the workplace. In clinics. In the women around me. I’ve seen how many navigate this transition with confusion, silence, and little support; not because they’re not trying, but because the system simply isn’t built for them. I couldn’t stand by and wait my turn. I’m part of a generation that’s done waiting for answers, for evidence, for care that starts before things go wrong. As a scientist with a background in biomedical and women's health research, I wanted to build something rooted in evidence. Hysteron is that platform: a science-driven, data-led approach to menopause care. We combine venous blood testing with AI-powered biomarker tracking to give women clarity, predictability, and personalised insights into their hormones, bone, heart, metabolic, and nutritional health. We’re already helping women now - from peri to post-menopause - take control of their health with tools that make sense of what their bodies are telling them. But I’m also building for the future. For those of us who aren’t there yet, but will be. Because here’s the thing: most of my friends couldn’t confidently define what menopause is... and that’s not their fault. We don’t talk about it, we’re not taught about it, and yet we’re part of a generation that’s going to live longer than any before us. In an ageing population, we need to start protecting our health earlier, not later. I don’t believe it’s ever too early to understand what’s coming, or to build the tools that will help us face it with knowledge and power. Let’s normalise proactive conversations, not just reactive ones.
