* Responsible for the Operations and the Business Development of the Microsystems and Nanotechnology Laboratory of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of the National center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”. Main objectives are: * The development of research collaborations with private and public bodies contributing to the promotion of the Nanotechnology and Microsystems Laboratory (NML) at National and International level by offering specially designed services for each customer. * Daily operations of the NML * Support of the R&D programs of INN running at the NML facilities

* 1. Product Excellence, including: * Design and execution of R&D projects to improve performance, lifetime and the overall quality of the product * Work close with the Commercial department to take feedback from the customers and initiate product improvement projects * Design and Implementation of the Quality Assurance/Control plan of production * Maximization of the production yield rate by identifying the weak production steps and applying preventive and corrective actions * 2. Operational Excellence: * Head of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System of the company. * Responsible for the Internal Continuous Improvement program of the organization including the maintenance of existing or the development of new procedures, daily analysis of production yield, troubleshooting, training.

* Establish control methods and functions to maximize productivity and yield rate of the recently started production line of Heliosphera. * Contact person for Heliosphera with Oerlikon Solar’s process engineering team during the Process Integration Ramp (PIR) phase. * Training of Heliosphera’s Process Engineering team on basic Six Sigma techniques.

* Training of a young engineering team on process engineering and trouble-shooting (CVD and vacuum technology) * Responsible for the organization of the metrology department. Training of the metrology personnel on the thin film characterization methods installed at the metrology lab (ellipsometry, photo-spectrometry (UV, Vis, NIR), interferometry, etc). * Contact person for Heliosphera with Oerlikon Solar’s installation team for all matters involving the Front End. * Contact person for Heliosphera with Air-Liquide and Akzo-Nobel for all matters involving the gas supply.

* Development of recipes to build Si rich Si3N4 layers using SiH2Cl2 and NH3 mixtures at low temperatures (LPCVD). * Development of recipes to build Gate Oxide quality SiO2 layers of 2.5 nm at atmospheric pressure using N2O as the oxidant. * Development of recipes for the oxidation of Si rich Si3N4 layers at atmospheric pressures to build SiO2 layers at low temperatures. * Build MOS Si Oxide * Nitride * Oxide memories based on the above recipes.

* Worked as a task leader for several research projects. The two most important ones are the following: * Production of a Si photo sensor to detect high energy photons for the Large Hardon Collider at CERN. * Development and Production of Si mono-crystalline solar cells for the project PROTEAS PV

* Production of Carbon nanotubes and nano-materials * Optimization and R&D of production methods * Characterization of the properties of the produced materials * Development of new products
