Shivani Vashi

As a recent graduate with a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics from Toronto Metropolitan University, I am passionate about leveraging data to drive impactful decisions. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in machine learning, natural language processing, data mining, and big data management. During my time at Oracle Financial Services as an Associate Consultant, I had the opportunity to work on multiple projects for various banks, gaining hands-on experience in API development, database management, and client collaboration. My responsibilities included developing and modifying APIs using Java, extracting and manipulating data with PLSQL, and integrating it into front-end applications with JavaScript. In addition to my professional experience, I have completed several projects that demonstrate my proficiency in data analysis and visualization. One notable project involved using an Amazon Sales Dataset to generate insights that could guide new sellers on market trends and pricing strategies. Another significant project focused on solving math word problems using natural language processing techniques. My technical skills span across programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, and JavaScript, and I am proficient in data manipulation and visualization tools like Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Tableau. I am also experienced in machine learning frameworks including Keras, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. I am driven by a desire to continuously learn and apply new technologies to solve real-world problems.
