Varun Nair

As a grad student at USC Marshall, I am pursuing my passion for global supply chain management, learning from world-class faculty and industry leaders. I have acquired skills in logistics, materials, and supply chain management, as well as VBA Excel and Amazon QuickSight. Previously, I worked as an Area Manager at Amazon, where I handled the outbound operations in one of the largest fulfillment centers in India. I managed and led a team of over 250 associates, optimized the outbound transshipment processing, and reduced the transshipment defects, resulting in increased productivity and cost savings. I also earned my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from KPMG India, demonstrating my proficiency in performance management and process improvement. In addition, I have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a BTech degree from SRM University. I have developed skills in AutoCAD, Python, SolidWorks, and ANSYS, and applied them to various projects as a suspension lead and project manager at 4ZE Racing and as a project head at Engineers Without Borders SRM. I also have a creative side, with experience in video editing and graphic design.
