I worked as a Data Science Intern at ONE Gas in Tulsa. My projects here were based on two interesting PoCs (Proof of Concept)- use advanced machine learning algorithms with a customized loss function to improve the estimated time it takes for field technicians to complete a given job and forecast the number of emergency requests every day for each dispatch area to make the current resource work optimization process more effective. My overall internship experience at ONE Gas was amazing. Everyone at ONE Gas is professional yet so humble and welcoming. The intern program is very well designed and gives enough opportunities for personal and professional growth. ONE Gas has a collaborative work environment which provides a platform for innovation, creativity and reliability. The company culture is unique and helped me to learn the ins-and-outs of the natural gas industry. I am grateful for this opportunity and glad that I couldn’t have chosen a better place to apply the data science concepts that I learned at OSU to the real world business problems.

I had an opportunity to work as GRA in the Entrepreneurship Department at OSU. I helped my Professor in building a word dictionary for a research project. I also did an automation using R to generate new business attributes using data/stats of fortune 500 companies
