ARTH 3260B Revolutions: Topics in Romantic Art

Docent and caretaker for Canada’s national exhibition at 53nd Venice Biennale. Welcomed over one thousand visitors daily and oversaw the de-installation of Mark Lewis’ installation.

Plan, administer and develop exhibition and event program, and provide mentorship to student exhibitors and staff. Community development and outreach.

Docent and caretaker for British national exhibition at the 53nd Venice Biennale. Worked as part of a small team to manage timed entrance to Steve McQueen’s video installation.

Worked with the Adult Programmes team on lectures, conferences and special events, including Late at Tate. Researched for upcoming programmes, wrote text for conference packs, prepared speaker contracts, made AV and catering arrangements, and managed complimentary ticket lists. Transcribed Tate National conference on Afro Modern: Journeys through the Black Atlantic exhibition. Trained to use The Museum System.

Ensured the safety of art works and visitors, and delivered Portrait of the Day gallery talks. Trained to give gallery talks and to lead gallery tours for visually impaired visitors.

Edited the September issue of Backstage with Peggy’s Interns. Assisted with the de-installation of Barney and Beuys: all in the present must be transformed. Delivered gallery talks, lead tours of the collection and monitored the gallery during opening hours. Presented seminar on Collage in the 20th Century to Interns and staff.

With or on behalf of the VP (F&A), coordinated, organized and facilitated various working groups and purpose-specific committees.
