I lead and support a team of 12 planners. The portfolio encompasses 20 departments that feature elements of seasonal, apparel, baby, furniture, housewares and events. I manage the teams across both the SA and the Sub-Saharan African markets. My core function is to manage the model stock by department ensuring that both the quality and the quantity is at its optimum to translate into sales and gross profit growth whilst managing working capital and improving stock turn. The success of my functions requires collaboration with my planning peers, the merchandise team, suppliers, supply chain and store operations. I consciously and constantly engage with my team and peers to stay relevant to our customers’ expectations.
