Photographer and educator working with local organizations such as CASA de Maryland, D.C. Public Schools and more. Valeria Monfrini was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and spent her childhood between Argentina and Bolivia. After Studying photography at the Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City and English in London she now resides in Washington D.C. where she graduated with a BFA in Photojournalism at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. As both, a professional photographer and a teaching artist she loves to see her students taking pride in their work and sharing their discoveries with each other after experimenting with photography and video.
