Vahit Atakan

Vahit Atakan is the founder and CEO of BatugaTech. With over 20 years of experience driving innovation and commercialization, he has played a key role in technology development, licensing, joint development agreements, strategic partnerships, and fundraising, including securing government grants and engaging with diverse venture capital firms, to scale transformative solutions in collaboration with global industry leaders. He holds more than 130 issued patents focused on reducing CO₂ emissions in cement and concrete. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, Ankara Turkey, and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
