- Pioneered the First Machine learning based Fraud Detection Model in the bank capable of detecting potential Fraud at Loan origination which reduced the Turn around time by 2974 man hours and saved 34 million in losses - Enhanced Existing Fraud Controls by reducing False positives for Auto mobile Loans due to Fraud. -Successfully lead a team to replicate this model to develop an MVP for other products such as Mortgage and RSME. - Engineered a Documentation fraud detection model, combining Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP) triggers. Developed the model to analyze varied documents(Bank Statements, EPF, Salary Slips) via Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for textual data extraction, while NLP-based triggers identified anomalies. - Lead the development & Management of the Group Risk reporting dashboard for Maybank, which is being used to monitor operational risk activities for prompt mitigating action to minimize failiure and Service interuption. - Oversaw the Monthly Capital charge calculations (ORWA) for submissions to Bank Negara. - Developed a News Scraping app aimed at filtering risk-related events, for the Asia Pacific region while collaborating with risk management team to design accurate filters and algorithms.
