Providing support to project team leads in the GeoSpatial Services Group. This includes generating spatial data products for a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects. It involves duties such as geo processing, spatial data analysis and management, production of cartographic products (i.e. field maps and report figures) and datasets.

• Developed scientific questions and conducted research to meet project goals: research design, data collection, interpretation and analysis • Summarized findings by writing reports, creating visuals (graphs, tables, maps), and making presentations

M.Sc. level research involved remotely mapping surficial sediments in Nunavut, comparing output results with mapped geology of the area. The research was affiliated with the Geological Survey of Canada. Thesis Title: Remote Predictive Mapping of Surficial Materials using Classification Methods and comparison of LANDSAT and SPOT imagery classification results - Repulse Bay, Nunavut ­•Created surficial materials maps based on satellite imagery (remotely sensed multispectral data) using GIS and remote sensing software (ENVI) to evaluate different methodological schemes ­•Processed raster data through maximum likelihood classification algorithms, digitized vector information and provided cartographic and graphic outputs of results for various comparative and business applications ­•Successfully executed a summer field expedition, undertaking all GIS data collection, managing, and organizing responsibilities. ­•Relevant Courses: Spatial Data Handling, Quaternary Geology

My completion of an Undergraduate Degree at McMaster University included course completion in a variety of themes including but not limited to: geography (urban, economic, social/dempgraphic), environmental studies (environmental assessment, climate change), earth science (hydrology, geology), Georaphic Information Systems (G.I.S.) (raster, vector, remote sensing).
