Under the Guidance of Prof. Johnston, I started a new project using PYTHON to analyse the n-body simulations of tidal streams of satellite galaxies around our Milky Way Galaxy. With Astropy, I debugged 2 set of simulations by writing a script to plot the dark and light matter particles of these tidal streams. In addition, I analysed their distribution via histograms. The goal of this project is to discover new data which could be used as observational proposal for the new WFIRST survey. For a second project, I worked with Adrian Price-Whelan, where I used time-series photometry to discover RR Lyraes in the sub-halo of our Milky Way Galaxy at distances of up to 200 kpc. To achieve this, I used mathematical methods such as the Lomb Scargle Multi-band fit to obtain better fits on periodograms.

As a freelance consultant, I work directly with the founder Robert Cordero since the inception of the brand. I help to successfully launch the brand by designing and creating the first line of products. In particular, I identified problems and implemented alternative solutions in the development of patterns and fabrics, and saw the project all the way through during the prototyping stage. After the initial development, I followed up with periodic consultancy on various design problems that needed to be solved taking the products forward.

I worked as a freelance assistant to head designer on a number of projects, among which I provided original research for costumes on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In addition, I worked with seamstresses and the head designer to construct one-off costumes for the movie. Along with the movie, my role as an assistant included constructing and designing a wedding gown, and suits for the groom and best man. Finally, I worked with the head designer to produce original fabric research for a special one-off project for french label LANVIN. In addition, my work was extended to include sourcing original jewellry for research, and preparing the design work in photoshop for final presentation.

Under the guidance of Tim Gunn, I created a monochromatic collection of intricately-connected crocheted dresses. My graduate collection was featured in the windows of the world reknown upscale departmental store Saks Fifth Avenue. The collection was sold as made-to-order, capsule pieces in the holiday catalogue."]

Mentored under Louise Wilson, I pushed my designs to their fullest potential and worked at the forefront of cutting edge modern fashion design. My graduate collection of minimalist, futuristic, seamless dresses and capes were sold in the urban, trendy store LN-CC in London."]

Moving on from my experience in design, I am pursing a new course in my life through the field of Astrophysics in Columbia University. I aim to proceed to graduate school. Activities and Societies: Society of Physics Students
