It isn't often that you get lucky enough to start a billion-dollar company by writing about your favorite baseball team, but that's what life did for me. I founded Vox Media, now a top-five trafficked digital media and technology company, by writing about the Oakland Athletics in a small blog called Athletics Nation. After receiving attention and cooperation from A's GM Billy Beane, the subject of the book "Moneyball," the blog took off and I began a business based on the Athletics Nation format. That single blog grew into SB Nation, which eventually spawned more than 300 websites within the multi-vertical Vox Media. I'm an award-winning communications professional with expertise in marketing, business development, management and creative thinking. Over the past several years I have developed a strong reputation as a hardworking, creative and efficient media consultant. Since leaving Vox Media full time in 2015, I've done everything from creating a comic book series to writing for video games, to becoming a digital technology consultant. I have expertise in managing remote workforces, editing and publishing for the web, public relations and marketing, and building a business from scratch. I bring impactful and insightful solutions to a variety of problems facing today's challenging environment, when it's especially tough to cut through the clutter.
