As a Student Analyst in the Financials Sector for the Creighton University Student Portfolio, I conduct fundamental analysis on major banking and financial institutions, evaluating performance through financial ratios, peer comparisons, and macroeconomic and interest rate trends. I collaborate closely with my sector partner to develop investment insights and buy, sell, and hold recommendations, and I regularly present analysis to classmates and faculty. Through this experience, I have strengthened my financial analysis, critical thinking, and presentation skills while contributing to investment decisions that added value to the portfolio and supported its growth to record highs during our tenure.

This past summer I worked as a Finance and Accounting Intern at Turf Tank, an international robotics company that specializes in painting sports fields for both collegiate and professional teams. In my role, I gained experience using systems like HubSpot, Zuora, Avalara, and Business Central, along with strengthening my Excel skills. I was responsible for generating and sending invoices to customers, communicating subscription information, and entering payment and revenue tracking data into our accounting system. A big part of my role was reconciling old payments to new subscriptions as Turf Tank transitioned from Maxio to Zuora. This experience gave me a strong understanding of both the technical and communication sides of finance and accounting in a fast-growing, international business.
