Composed briefings for senior development directors in preparation for meetings with potential Boalt Hall donors.

Served as a summer intern at the Congressional Office of Rep. Barbara Lee in Washington, D.C. where I attended forums and briefings for legislative staff, participated in a Mock Congress, drafted talking points for the Congresswoman, responded to constituent letters, and met with other interest in public policy issues.

Completed 1700 hours of service where I provided info for pro-per litigants in Small Claims, Guardianship, Restraining Orders, Unlawful Detainers, and Family Law. Regularly preparing Findings & Order After Hearings and Court Calendars using Essential Forms and Domain. Perform exit interviews for 20-30 litigants at Homeless Court and work with Homeless Court Staff to recruit volunteers. Coordinate the schedules of 22 JusticeCorps members, communicate with six staff attorneys and program managers regarding member performance and attendance. Develop and conduct 13 trainings and volunteer programs.

Interview Inmates eligible to be released on OR. Compile briefs and contact references that are later reviewed by the Judge.

Completed 300 hours of service where I provided legal and procedural information to self represented litigants at the Self Help Center.

Created and distributed book orders, organized open lectures, and advertised upcoming events within the Gender and Women’s Studies department.

Interviewed inmates eligible for OR release and drafted briefs for the Public Defender, District Attorney and Judge to assist in determining whether or not to grant one’s release on their own recognizance.

Participated in the Scholars Program in Baltimore, MD, where I interned with the Legal Aid Bureau. I reviewed case material and attended Baltimore County court hearings with Legal Aid attorneys. I also attended classes in family law and contracts, met judges, and visited law firms.

Selected to serve as full-time senate fellow. Responsibilities include helping develop legislative proposals, researching and analyzing bills, responding to constituent inquiries, writing press releases and speeches, and attending weekly seminars at CSU Sacramento through the Government Department.
