De Praktische Opleiding tot Officier der Mariniers (POTOM). Deze opleiding duurt 11 maanden. Wij als aspirant officieren moeten bewijzen te beschikken over leiderschapskwaliteiten, tactische vaardigheden, uithoudingsvermogen en fysieke kracht. Een Officier der Mariniers moet onder extreme (oorlogs) omstandigheden een troop mariniers kunnen leiden en complexe missies tot een goed gevolg kunnen brengen.
