I like building things, enjoy lifting heavy things, and love learning hard things. My background is in applied mathematics, machine learning, and computer science. I hold an M.Sc. in Systems and Operations Research from Aalto University with minor studies in pure mathematics, I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Aalto University. I’m at my best when working on something new and difficult. I enjoy exploring recent theory and turning it into practical computational and statistical solutions: from hard problems to smart solutions, and ultimately into elegant products and services. Outside of work, I read widely, and enjoy going deep on technical topics out of curiosity rather than obligation. I care deeply about competence, ownership, and building things that last.
