Optical process engineer @ Meta
About
I build measurement credibility. My work starts with characterizing real optical behavior — not assumed models — then systematically tuning process parameters through data-driven exploration, and converging on configurations that hold up in high-volume manufacturing. At Meta (2024–2026), I was system owner for VR active alignment (AA) process validation, improving AA–tester correlation from ~0.5 to >0.9, delivering a 4× UPH increase at EVT1, and establishing GR&R standards with <10% variation. My focus was translating complex optical metrics into manufacturable acceptance criteria — bridging optical design, imaging algorithms, and production deployment. At HTC (2022–2024), as principal engineer, I translated multimodal LLM use cases into concrete optical and sensor specifications for AI smart glasses, defining camera specs across sensor selection, lens (FOV/MTF/distortion), and image quality criteria — and established quantitative acceptance standards for ODM camera modules.Core competencies: optical metrology and measurement systems (BSDF, VID, GR&R, SPC), active alignment process engineering (NPI-to-HVM, DOE, UPH optimization), camera system definition (sharpness, multi-DOF, image quality), and optical simulation (LightTools primary).Ph.D. in optics and computer vision (NTUST 2026). Research published in Applied Optics and Journal of Electronic Imaging. I work at the intersection of optical metrology and high-volume manufacturing.

• As an optical and computer vision engineer at HTC, I focused on defining product-ready camera specifications and core vision features for AIoT and AI glasses products, translating AI/LLM-driven visual use cases into concrete system decisions. In parallel, I supported supply chain readiness and new application introductions, including technology surveys, specification validation, and cross-functional coordination.
