As director of engineering my responsibilities include managing all technology aspects for a fast moving startup.

As senior software engineer at Abilitie my primary focus was supporting our portfolio of simulation based learning apps as well as creating technology for new product launches. This was mostly completed through NodeJS with Redux and React frontends. My primary contribution were custom APIs in Node integrated with PostgreSQL using a promise-based library for serving non-ORM api calls.

As a project lead I oversee the Student and Student AR team as well as develop and manage complex solutions across the TTU enterprise landscape. We utilize Scrum & Agile to manage a team of five software engineers. During my time at TTU I have led the transition to REST & javascript client based web applications, AngularJS, responsive design, and test driven development. My team has shipped multiple large web-applications for student and employee use utilized by most of the 50,000 students across the Texas Tech University System.

I work for the Texas Tech University System as a programmer / analyst for the Student Admissions and Records team in the Information Systems Department. I work primarily with Grails, Java, Oracle, and their related technologies.

As a project manager I was the primary contact point for multiple customers on medium to large scale web applications. I also worked as the lead developer on these and other projects. We utilized the latest development techniques including javascript heavy front end development with REST API backends. The primary technologies used at Loadsys were CakePHP, BackboneJS, Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery, and other javascript libraries and frameworks.

Software developer and system administrator, working with a host of systems from the Amazon Web Services architecture including a set of scalable web servers. The software was developed using CakePHP and a large component in Salesforce.

I worked in web design/development at an agricultural analytics company. I was in charge of a small team of web developers who created the customer facing side of Smartfield's flagship product "CropInsight". My role consisted of creating architecture documents, jumping into the most complex code, and managing the flow of the team and outsourced entities.

A start-up web-design, print-design, and marketing firm, I held the position of Vice President of IT while we grew to approximately 18 employees.

Richardson High Performance Systems Lab, a research and development laboratory building super-computer class enterprise servers. I was on a hardware/software evaluation test team.
