FATHOM™ was first founded by Global Water to provide support and operational solutions for Global Water's own Water & Wastewater utilities. Today, FATHOM™ brings the benefits and efficiencies of "Smart Grid" to the under-served Water & Wastewater space. FATHOM provides a turnkey package incorporating AMI meters and an end-to-end suite of integrated SaaS/cloud‐based solutions that are proven to increase utility revenue, decrease operating costs, improve customer service and address the expectations that customer's have of a modern utility. FATHOM helps utilities address the fact that "status quo" is not acceptable. With FATHOM™, our utility partners have successfully addressed the challenges they face - including customers demanding more services, engagement and information; the need to drive additional revenue without raising rates; managing the reality of decreased municipal OpEx/CapEx budgets; alleviating the burden of maintaining and integrating multiple costly back-end applications; and providing updated assets/infrastructure all at a lower cost.

Global Water Resources is an Arizona-based company established to acquire regulated water and wastewater utilities in the arid Southwestern states and to advance the cause of water reclamation and reuse as a conservation methodology. Mr. Hill provides leadership and policy direction with respect to water reclamation and re-use, water use efficiency and the economics of water reclamation and served on the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Panel on Water Sustainability. Global Water has been recognized for its leadership in water conservation, environmental education and communications receiving the 2009 Environmental Achievement Award in Region 9 of the Environmental Protection Agency.

In 2000, Mr. Hill co-founded Algonquin Water Resources of America, a division of the Algonquin Power Income Fund. In his role of Director of Operations for AWRA, he led the acquisition team, acquiring 6 utilities in three years and amassing 37,000 utility customers in Arizona and Texas.

In 1994, Mr. Hill co-founded Hill, Murray & Associates, a design-build-operate firm specializing in the construction and operation of water reclamation facilities in British Columbia and the Canadian Arctic. Mr. Hill oversaw the permitting, design, construction, commissioning and operation of many “first-in-the-field” systems, including the first fully recycling commercial and school buildings in Canada. He has been instrumental in developing water reclamation codes, rules and regulations for the Province of British Columbia, and advancing water stewardship through his Total Water Management philosophy.
