Antoine Grapperon

As a product manager, Antoine contributes to identify and execute product opportunities around transport modelling softwares EMME, DYNAMEQ and CityPhi. His most recent contribution involved planning, designing and executing the code-free automation platform EMME Flow. Within weeks of its release, EMME Flow convinced several high-profile teams of users around the world to switch from Python scripts to Flow to implement complex travel demand model.

As part of the Bentley Mobility team, Antoine is in charge of designing and developing new software applications, including Emme Flow, Emme Scenes (https://info.inrosoftware.com/blog/introducing-emme-scenes) and a portfolio of map matching solutions. To accomplish this task, Antoine works with and coordinates a team of developers. It includes gathering and managing user feedback and requirements, setting up the testing strategy, participating to the documentation effort. As part of a team or as the main project manager, Antoine is also in charge of building and maintaining several travel demand models in North America and Europe in medium-sized cities.

Research topic: Activity based approach to estimation of dynamic origin destination matrix using smartcard data. This project fuses data science, behavioural science and a good understanding of intelligent transportation systems. Award for excellence from the CIRRELT (Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche sur les Réseaux d'Entreprise la Logistique et le Transport) Lab supervisor: accompany, help and correct over 100 students through their labs and projects on road design. Site preparation for the renovation of a Church (400 000€). Consulting : analyse of the commercial process and development of a technical database and a VBA tool to answer quickly and efficiently to commercial opportunities. Sele is a civil engineering enterprise specialized in renovation work on historical buildings; therefore it requires to adapt and to learn quickly.

Urban Transportation Network (A+) : extended work with transportation software (Transims, RouteWare, SUMO, yEd...) Urban planning (A+) : evaluating softwares such as Urbansim and QRSII, 4 steps modelling. Study of Paris and Montreal's transportation plan. Circulation theory : implementing macroscopic fundamental diagram as a tool to analyze California's managment of road network. Traffic capacity : analysis of the impact of aggregation of time series (traffic data) on signal coherency and reliability Innovation and technology : using JAVA and PostgreSQL, project on vizualisation of OD matrices and implementing a basic population synthesis out of census data and travel survey
