Researched and drafted memos regarding a variety of topics relating to matters under the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office including oppositions, cancellations, and general trademark filings. Drafted and edited portions of briefs prepared for oppositions and cancellations under inter partes review in addition to drafting petitions for the same. Provided general litigation support regarding business law matters including contract disputes and professional insurance liability. Conducted extensive research on matters relating to the substantive scope of expert witness testimony and relevant procedures.

Researched and drafted memos in the areas of business and intellectual property law, including special topics such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Federal Drug Administration compliance/labeling requirements and Customs and Border Protection seizures. Provided litigation support including drafting requests for evidence, admissions, and production as well as interrogatories. Drafted and reviewed several types of agreements including licensing, assignment, and employment as well as terms of use and privacy policies.

* Research focus on copyright, new media and technology law. * Published work on the topics of file sharing, illegal downloading and the DMCA as it relates to contemporary copyright law. * Addressed issues of the university as an internet service provider, student liability, fair use defense and limitations on exclusive rights.

* Researched, wrote and published original content on the topics of intellectual property, business, immigration and estate planning law for Yang & Wang, P.C., a professional law corporation specializing in intellectual property and business law. * Drafted business plans and conducted market research on local competition for a variety of industries. * Researched local, state and federal statutes and filing procedures for certain legal actions (e.g. wills/trusts/probate, real property transfer, visa requirements for business and investment based immigration etc.) * Performed clerical duties including managing calls, fax filing, drafting documents, compiling paperwork and conducting reports. * Interacted with clients while managing the firm website, social media and PR.
