Electrical Systems – Project Manager / Senior Project Coordinator - Execute electrical projects from start-up to completion; manage manpower and work load to ensure cost budgeting stay within the allotment for each project; review blueprint drawings and specifications; liaise with City of Calgary Inspection Department, utility providers, vendors, and customers; resolve issues; create cost estimates; visit job sites to monitor quality and progress for monthly billing; communicate daily reports and information effectively to stakeholders about progress and milestones; maintain a high standard of quality, workmanship, and service; negotiate revisions, changes, additions to contract documents; request, review and submit shop drawings; purchase materials and equipment for projects; follow project schedules and monitor progress vs. timelines; create invoices; issue PO's; maintain accurate records and document control; filing; create O&M manuals; track shop drawings, materials and deliveries; obtain electrical permits, WCB Clearance Certificates and Certificates of Insurance; data entry: time sheets & expenses. Oversee the electrical installation, commissioning and turn-over of projects; represent the client's best interest; work closely, coordinate and meet with diverse teams; QA/QC; review blueprint drawings and specifications for accuracy/design flaws; document control of electrical shop drawings, RFI’s, field reviews, site instructions, change orders, approve/reject/mediate price submittals, and monthly progress claims; witness fire alarm verifications; as-built existing site conditions for design; review contractor record drawings and O&M manuals; issue close-out documents for occupancy; knowledge of Alberta Building Code, Installation of Fire Alarm Systems and Canadian Electrical Code. Projects: School Divisions: Calgary Catholic, CBE, Rocky View, Foothills, Golden Hills. Tenant improvements for Government and professional offices, medical clinics, diagnostic facilities, laboratories, CRU's, child care, The University of Calgary, Calgary Parks, new construction, renovations, and upgrades.
