Jack Kelly

My name is Jack Kelly and I currently run an e-commerce business selling vaulted collectables, toys and gifts! I have a passion for action figures, collectables and toys, and I am always interested in discussing potential opportunities within the collectables industry. I have strong values in that both the actual collectables and 'geek' community should be prioritised above anything else, and I think it is important for any businesswithin the industry to share these values. So what got me into the collectables industry? Dealing, buying and selling collectibles has been my life and livelihood since I was a little boy. When I was growing up my father was a toy dealer and a collector. He actually owned the largest Batman collection in Europe. A whole room in our house was dedicated to a phenomenal collection of 60s Batman toys, and it's safe to say that by the age of 9 I was completely hooked as a collector. Every weekend we would travel the country attending toy fairs, which back in the day were unbelievable places to not only buy and sell toys, but also to a be part of this network of collectors. I have met thousands of dealers, collectors, distributors and toy enthusiasts. I am extremely privileged that I was thrown into this community at a very young age and from that I've been able to meet and see so many collectors and collections - including a trip to Tokyo to meet the CEO of Hot Toys Japan (but that is a story for another time!). I've always had a very good eye for both what will make money, as well as what a collector wants to have in their collection - and usually there is an obvious correlation between these two things. For over a decade I've run a successful e-commerce business which I hope that will continue to grow whilst I further my career. I am open to new opportunities in the collectables industry. I am located in Chester (North West, UK) but I am open to remote roles for the right position and company. As well as an extensive knowledge and passion for collectables, I have a good track record of hitting KPIs and business targets. In my current role and previous role at THG, I have been able to gain experience in a buying role and have been lucky enough to manage and work with some of the biggest collectables suppliers and distributors in the UK.
