Part of the design team, I was designing packaging, products, product artwork, promotional items such as gift cards and window displays, CAD’s, spec sheets and being involved in events such as photo shoots, along with answering the phone as part of customer service. Also accommodating designs for different buyers of the company such as Topshop, Debenhams, ASOS, John Lewis, and more.

Part time during term time and full time during the holidays, I was part of a graphic design team for a breathalyser product called ‘Chube’, helping design and construct the packaging, advertising, events, corporate designs, branding, gaming app and website. During this time, I was also participating in other freelance work for different clients.

Here I learnt about the different departments of the bank, such as: foreign exchange, personal assistance, graphic design, mailing and ICT technicians.

With in this one week work experience, I helped work in the graphic design department on a film called ‘Twenty8k’, released in 2012, designing set props from images and digital screen scenes, to the props themselves such as signs. I also got the chance to help on the film set with designing the composition of furniture and help decorate the set.

During this one week work experience, I helped the students during their art and design lessons, photographed and displayed their work, and I also helped clean and organise materials for the classes.

Working along side the head graphic designer, I took on many of the general graphic design responsibilities, some of which include: in depth research, organisation and arrangement of materials, suppliers, and production techniques, along with liaising with companies. Also, CAD technical drawings for products, internal document design and development, creating artwork for print, and photo retouching and resizing for documents and social media content.
