Lead all aspects of planning and execution for the design, development, construction, testing, certification and sustainment of the INDEPENDENCE Variant Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Combat Systems to include networks and information assurance. Direct all aspects of engineering activity to ensure the combat systems are responsive to existing or revised operational requirements as determined by OPNAV within constraints of budget, schedule, and contract issues. Provide contractual oversight and direction to shipbuilding prime contractor and it's integration sub contractor through completion of systems development, in-yard test, and post-delivery test and combat system/warfare system certification.
