As Fellowship Manager I continue to manage the application process for IOP Fellow and all that entails. I also manage the nomination process for our Honorary Fellows, with the role of Secretary of the Honorary Fellows committee. I have a responsibility for outreach and engagement activities for our Fellows and Honorary Fellows, building a community, whilst also raising the profile of IOP Fellowship. Separate responsibilities: I am project managing the IOP's Membership Review, looking at all facets of membership across the whole organisation, how we can grow our membership and improve our services to our members.

As Fellowship Officer I manage the Fellowship application process. • Receiving and reviewing applications • Detailing essential updates required and providing feedback • Set up and management of peer assessment panels • Notifying the applicant of the result, proving feedback to those unsuccessful • Answering queries from applicants along the process. I am responsible for IOP’s Fellowship Campaign, aimed at advertising Fellowship and encouraging applications. I run workshops for perspective Fellows to provide information on Fellowship and the application process. I also run webinars for our international members. I run training days for our review panellists and provide online training for our international and new panellists. I support the Professional Standards team and Membership department with activities to promote membership and professional recognition.

As Student and Trainee Officer I am responsible for the Associate Member category of the IOP. The majority of associate members were students so they were my main focus. It also includes physics apprentices and I’m working ways we can support them, as we don’t currently have a specific apprentice offer. I organise events ranging from afternoon workshops to 4 day conferences. I manage 14 campus ambassadors which are students hired to promote IOP at their universities. I organise and facilitate the IOP Student Committee and introduced a new system, making it more representative of physics students throughout the UK. I manage our relationships with over 50 affiliated student societies, from the annual renewal of their affiliation, supporting their on campus activities and campus visits to discuss our associate member offer. I work with IOP’s marketing team on associate member recruitment. This involves promoting membership at events, giving talks at universities and promoting membership online and through social media.

As Sports and Recreation intern I act as the strategic link between University and Students’ Union sport. I process the department’s finances, including weekly Cash processing and monthly invoicing for tens of thousands of pounds. I organize the monthly events for the University’s Olympiad competition between students and staff. I take bookings and payments over the phone and schedule activities throughout our facilities.

As Vice-President Student Activities i represent all of the Unions' Sports teams and Societies. I train committee members in different skills to help them lead their groups effectively, I helpe organize their events, help them with any issues they may have had, and I chair both Sports Council and Societies Council. I am a member of the Union Council and also the Trustee Board for the Union. In Union Council I discuss policy of the union and as a trustee I discussed strategy and financial stability, and also report on my work as Vice-President. I am involved in the organisation of our commercial services, helping to organize events in the bars, but also in the decisions surrounding stock we sell in the shops. I am involved in organizing external events such as the Freshers' and Summer balls, Charity events and Sports events including Varsity and Old Boys' day. I also help to organise and run our Sports, Societies and Union awards nights. I am continuing the process of getting improved sports facilities on one of our campuses. I attend high level meetings and the university to discuss university policy and procedure.

I was responsible for the safety of all the students in the bar each night. We would work in teams of four making sure students were staying safe at all times. I would be responsible for signing students and their guests into our systems each night and managing the queue outside the venue. Other responsibilities were changing barrels, moving stock and cleaning up at the end of the night.

I opened the campus gym, performed initial safety checks, cleaned gym including the equipment, took money for memberships and processed the payments, gave inductions to the gym including health and safety, closed and locked the gym after doing closing checks on the equipment and cashing up the till. I opened the sports hall, assessed the hall for health and safety issues, put up/took down equipment for a variety of different sports, oversaw booking slots making sure people left promptly so others could use the hall, closed the sports hall after closing checks. I opened up the sports center, unlocked gates to sports pitches, cleaned up changing rooms and closed down the building after closing checks.

As site manager i would structure the weeks timetables, activities and staffing. I would be responsible for all the children participating during the day and liaising with the leisure center on room use and Equipment management (storage and sharing). I was the first point of contact for all the parents, dealing with specific issues their child may have, any issues or queries they had and dealing with any complaints they may have had. I was also the on site first aider. I would report weekly to head office with updates of participation numbers, injuries, complaints and successes of the week.

I worked at a school helping less motivated students with their GCSE work in a range of subjects. I ran workshops at and helped facilitate school trips to the University. I coached sports at local schools.
