Lead of Systems Engineering for “Class 5 Switch in a box”. Reviewed emerging technologies and competitor’s offerings to determine development course for the Gluon Product. Produced detailed specifications and requirements for Gluon Products, including creation of a technical scheme for in-depth logging, analysis, and troubleshooting of the Gluon product.

As R & D Director at Siemens ICN (1998-3/2002), managed a $40M annual budget and more than 200 software, hardware, project management and field support personnel during efforts to build an integrated telecomm access product from concept through field deployment. This product was an ATM-based broadband and narrowband telecomm system supporting ADSL, G.SHDSL, and ATM gateway functions as well GR-303 and TR-08 controlled POTS loops. Maintenance and Administration was via an embedded web browser using Macromedia Flash. The team carried the product from concept through field deployment. The team obtained Bellcore NEBS 3 compliance as well as narrowband GR-303 and TR-08 certification from Lucent and Nortel. Additionally, was responsible for all development budgeting, project management, staffing, configuration control, and product reviews. Managed the concept, system design, development and deployment of the access system. Analyzed markets for competitive products. Reported directly to Vice-Presidents and communicated regularly with the President and CEO. Participated in product reviews and workshops to set direction for future products. Chosen as 1 of only 4 in Engineering to receive Circle of Excellence award for achievements. Organization obtained ISO-9001 certification for development practices during my tenure. Performed as team leader and supervisor for call processing development. Led the design, implementation, and deployment of TR 317-based ISUP and various SS7-CLASS based features including Calling Number Delivery, Automatic Callback, and Automatic Recall.

Designed and implemented radar algorithms for detection and classification of air and ground based vehicles for the Westinghouse Fire Control Radar (product name Longbow), a proprietary Westinghouse array processor and a series of 1750a processors. Performed as a key member of integration team for radar system. Participated in the collection and reduction of telemetry data gathered from test flights. Performed system integration on the Martin Marietta Command Nodal Control Environment (CNCE) system. Led integration team to integrate and document hardware and software for CNCE. Led team for performing Formal Qualification Testing with Air Force personnel.
