My mainly responsible for engineering TB’s handbags, SLGs, belts and keyfob. The key role is to collaborate with cross-functional partners and work with factories to follow up construction, technical issue and find root cause on samples and production to meet both design aesthetics and TB high quality standards, maintain product consistency and integrity with cost and production efficiency in mind. Elevate the level of technical knowledge expertise across the team. • Supports NY’s design team to achieve the desired intent with ease of manufacturing, following TB’s quality standards and cost efficiency in mind. • Gives technical support to PD team throughout the development and process. • Works/Partners with factories to create mock ups, samples, panels and/or other components needed to support TB sample request. • Assist factories with suggestions and solutions on technical issues through the development process. • Supports the development process with the early costing exercises with suggestions that brings possible cost savings alternatives and techniques while upholding brand integrity. • Ensures Product consistency is maintained in individual style across silhouette and/or collection by following pre-approved TB standards. • Partners with Cross Functional Teams in support of the development process. • Advise/remind factory for different type of testing possibly needed during the development stage. • Supports Production Team’s requirement to review and approve PP Samples. • Works with factory’s sample room, to ensure the samples are being made according to the design intent. • Partners with PD, Production team and QC team to conduct “Internal Line Review Meeting” and “Handover Meetings” with factories to help resolve raised issues. • Collaborate with QC team and factories production team to resolve any technical issues that unexpectedly arises from bulk production.

Source new factories along with the director, visit factories when required to resolve issues that have escalated past the product coordinator level and also to participate in meeting with customer teams and participate in those factory visits. Ensure the staffs are on top of all projects and all orders timelines are on track. Oversee/Handle the majority of the direct import tasks for Walmart DI orders (in general, both North and South China). Follow the entire production process at factory level from point of order through to shipping (tracking tickets, ordering tickets, submitting lab dips and shade bands, booking inspection, following up on samples, performing QC inspection, etc.) Manage staffs that will be processing auto replenishment purchase orders (from the point the PO is purchased through to shipping).

Monitoring all leather, fabric and hardware ordering and delivery to factory on time to ensure have correct materials for sampling. Check all samples details to follow Spec /Design Card, make sure all details is correct, inform and call out to NY team something is incorrect. Ensure product quality and execution to meet standard, Design’s intend and aesthetic. Visit factory regularly to check the samples status and quality to catch the PDT. Make decision and problem solving when needed. Follow up with factory for any not approved article/styles until everything get approval. Work with Production team and QA team to address any issues which maybe impact finished goods delivery. Price negotiate with factory to meet the margin. Provide suggestion/options to lower down the price when needed.

Day to day management responsibility of QC team. Hold pre-production meeting with factory to give key points for new styles. Review /approve pre-production samples(PPS) with factory to make sure appearance and construction no issues for friendly bulk production. Engaged with relative departments for raw materials quality issue and technical problems. In-line inspection and finished goods inspection, identify and solve any production issues, also support technical to Production Management team. Raw materials auditing and Laboratory operation auditing. Conduct and approve packing instruction. Deal with quality issue call out from customer returns; find out the RCA (root cause analysis) and take action plan. Weekly report to manager. Deliver on QC training courses to team members and suppliers.

Work with customer directly for the new last, outsole, uppers development for sampling. Support Manager to make shoes correction on new development. Handle all samples schedule and communicate with customer. Trace the delivery performance and suppliers to follow A-01 material requirements. Independent to solve exceptional cases. Sample price negotiation and cost saving for meet the margin. Evaluate supplier performance.

Base on the sample shoes and paper pattern that be transferred from all development center. Make some adjustments to fit brand standard and smooth for mass production if necessary . Responsible for reviewing and updating sample weekly report, proto sample, sales samples, tech sample, confirmation sample schedule and molds status chart. Sourcing all materials & components for sampling. Inspect color swatches matching and visible quality for sampling. Hold commercialization tech meeting with customers, pattern maker, bottom tooling and production team. Finalized upper pattern & molds to transfer for mass production and friendly for bulk.
