Responsible for Implement, maintain, troubleshooting and problem solving on all the UNIX/Linux servers as well as AS/400 and MacOS for CA LoD system:  Built and maintained thousands of physical & virtual UNIX/Linux systems for CA LoD (Labs on Demand) which is a private Cloud system available to all CA people (R&D, Support, Education, Finance …). It was also including developed scripts for automation and post installations.  Setup, configure and maintain Sun LDom, ZONE servers, HP PA-RISC & IA64 servers, IBM VIO, LPARs servers.  Performed software installation for (OS, databases, compilers, tools, and 3rd-party software) needed for LoD Unix/Linux servers, upgrade, troubleshooting, and maintenance on UNIX/Linux systems.  Designed and implemented all the UNIX provision servers (Sun AI & Jumpstart, HP Ignite, and AIX NIM), YUM server.  Designed, developed, configured, scripting, improved, maintained all the UNIX post-install scripts.  Troubleshooting and problem solving for hardware/software problems for both physical and virtual servers.  Configure and maintain the IPV6 network for UNIX/Linux servers on IPV6 network environment.  Configure and Using Sun/HP ILOM, IBM HMC and DRAC for managing all the servers remotely.  Install, configure, maintain and administer IBM AS400 servers (V5R4M0 – V7R3M0).  Help users to install, configure, migration, troubleshooting applications on UNIX/Linux systems.  Migrate users’ physical or virtual systems into LoD Cloud system.  Use Agile methodology (CA Rally) to manage all infrastructure and development projects.  Wrote documents for technology transfers, coach junior team members.  Support customers’ incidents & requests following change control procedure through LoD helpdesk system.  Provide hardware/software evaluation to management on new hardware/software purchase decisions and system expansion.

Responsible for building and packaging the SP for CA Unicenter/autosys on various Unix/Linux, Windows systems, setup and maintain all the Unicenter/autosys build and test servers, maintain source code on various platforms (VSS, SCCS, CSCR).  Setup the servers for build and test Unicenter for various Unix/Linux, Windows.  Ensured that SPs are released on schedule with highest quality by working with developers and get the latest fixes built into the products.  Implement and troubleshooting on all the servers.  Create and maintain all the building scripts, automate the daily/nightly check-out and builds.  Create and maintain a website for Unicenter department and displaying all the products, servers, general information.  Using CA Brightstor(ARCserve) to back up all the build servers & source trees.  Maintained development and production source code trees with latest features and bug fixes by crossing changes from previous released production code lines to current development and production code lines.  Created and released all Master Images for manufacturing of Unicenter on all supported platforms.  Used various source code control (vss, sccs, cscr) for creating and updating the Unicenter source code on various platforms.  Implemented terminal servers for managing the UNIX servers remotely.  Lead of a system admin team with other people managing all the Unicenter servers.

Responsible for creating, maintaining testing suites and testing of OpenIngres database product line. Record bugs and verify bug fixes using defect-tracking system (STARTRAK). Also responsible for all Unix/Linux as well as MS Windows operating system installation, configuration, OS patching, performance tuning, capacity planning, and R&D planning and implementation.  Automated test suites for various Ingres database products including OpenROAD, a database application development (GUI) tool, Ingres DBMS server, Replicator and Ingres Net, Star etc. using various tools including OS shell scripting and testing tools.  Created automated testing scripts to automate the testing and test setup.  Created regression test cases for fixed bugs.  Reviewed the Ingres test suite changes, test plans and test matrices, and provided help to team members when needed.  Drastically reduced test preparation time and improved test efficiency, accuracy and overall quality of the Ingres product line by implementing a fast testing environment setup system using Symantec Ghost.  Administered over 80 Unix/Linux and Windows servers including Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Tru64, SCO, IRIX, DGUX, DYNIX, SINIX and all major Enterprise Linux distributions in Data Center and QA labs.  Created and maintained internal QA website to facilitate the various testing projects.  Designed and implemented a disaster recovery system for QA web server and file server using CA ARCserve.  Implemented NIS, Samba/SWAT, and HP Web Console within LAN. Performed OS security patch and upgrade, security auditing and performance tuning. Documented the process of all implementations.  Provided software, hardware support and coaching to the team members and other related teams.  Provide hardware/software evaluation to management on new hardware/software purchase decisions and system expansion.
