Since Tommy foundered Bold with his partner, his proactive market research and effective project management have been invaluable assets to the company. Tommy is extensively involving in all operations of Bold including land acquisition, development management, construction management, marketing and sales. With the vision to strive to achieve absolute excellence, Tommy He and his partner founded Bold Construction Ltd in 2011. Starting from the ground up, in those early days, Tommy He involves in day-to-day construction management from design phase, pre-construction, estimating, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, site supervision, quality control, all the way until hand over of the buildings. With a passion for construction and the addition of some great team members, Bold Construction has grown into a multi-project, multi-sector construction and design/build services firm that has completed over 450,000 sq.ft. of residential and commercial construction to date. There isn’t a “secret sauce” behind Bold Construction’s rapid growth and successful deliveries, rather a simple and pure dedication to delivering great projects and assembling only the most passionate construction and design professionals for every single project, no matter how large or small the project is. To engage the future growth of Bold Construction and to focus on the land development sector, Tommy exited the construction business with a management buy-out strategy in spring 2021.

Invited to be a seasoned instructor for CMGT 8205 Construction Management Seminars. Through presentations from seasoned construction professionals, participants will gain knowledge of strategies and construction techniques that have been used on a variety of construction projects. Tommy applied real cases in construction projects to demonstrate "the risks on both sides".

Invited to be a discussion panelist at a forum event hosted by The Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate, Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. Discussion Topic: Small Scale Residential Development Builders who purchase "tear down" homes and replace them with denser or more luxurious new homes have long been an important factor in the Vancouver real estate market, but there is little data concerning this segment. In this panel, participants in the small scale residential development business will discuss the operations and economics drivers of this vital but little-understood corner of the market.

Tommy He is invited by BCIT Real Estate Association as the Guest Speaker in 2015, to share his experience on building up a young and innovative real estate development company, and what sets it apart from the competition. Tommy loves to give advice to students and tomorrow's professionals in hopes of furthering the clubs ability to learn outside of the classroom.
