The Courtyard is a specialist ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) school for students aged 13-19, where students grow in confidence, develop to become independent adults and become happy and vibrant individuals.

After working as the lead engineer, I was appointed to the board as CTO to report and advise on the technology side of the business as well as continuing to lead the engineering team. I was particularly focused on our product and was passionate about trying to improve the user experience.

After joining the founding team as a contractor, I was tasked with building the initial APIs to support Droplet's mobile clients. As the sole engineer at the time, I also oversaw all aspects of the infrastructure and security. I then went on to help hire new engineers onto the team which I then led to build our next 3 product iterations. In late 2013, I designed and built a set of libraries and services to migrate our systems over to a microservice infrastructure which now supports the Droplet platform. Connex Audio sells high end, hand-made audio products worldwide. Initially set up as a small hobby project, demand gradually increased and arrangements were put in place with manufacturers, suppliers and distributors worldwide which saw Connex Audio grow into a profitable company for the last six years.

Contract software engineer specialising in web application and systems development with Ruby and a variety of supporting technologies. Most of my work has been developing public and internal APIs for standalone as well as scalable SOA systems.
