For 4 yrs managed all phases of construction and land development from concept and feasibility, entitlements & approvals, contract preparation and award, on-site construction management through contract completion and bond release. Assisted site contractors in cost estimating, bidding and general project analysis. Performed feasibility analysis of $56 million development project containing 869 lots, daycare facility and equestrian facility. Initiated a 516 lot development with an alternative sewer system through the zoning and planning processes. w/ Centex Homes (4 yrs) providing comprehensive on-site home building management for entire subdivisions in a production setting, overseeing all phases of neighborhood construction and warranty programs. My responsibilities were to hire/fire, train/develop employees & subcontractors. Schedule and manage work, approve job quality and completion and approve payments. I also was the Nashville Division Safety Representative and Production Management Training Instructor. My warranty costs per house were the lowest in the division due to my thorough inspection and management practices. Personally managed the day to day construction of over 130 single family homes. Consistently constructed 2000 SF homes in under 90 days.

US Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan (3 yrs) supervising large (mostly civilian) work force performing port, facility and equipment maintenance, planning and engineering, environmental compliance, housing management, and construction, with a total annual budget over $30M. Oversaw engineering designs to support over $3M annually in new construction projects and 22 facility maintenance contracts. Effectively managed, realigned and adjusted base infrastructure to absorb the sudden doubling of base population (from 2500 to 5000) despite an insignificant increase in funding and facilities. COMPANY COMMANDER, U.S. Navy Construction Battalion, in charge of 90 to150 U.S. Navy Seabees overseeing construction projects in Europe and the Pacific. Principally managed building and concrete paving projects. Hand picked to lead 89 man air detachment specialized in advanced base construction while operating independently in remote areas of the world. Received meritorious unit citation from U.S. Coast Guard for early completion of critically needed long range communication station on the island of Guam.

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER at Naval Air Station, Oceana, VA. Managed maintenance of air fields and base facilities. Supervised 90 civilian planning, estimating, utility, transportation, and maintenance workers with budget of $27M in operations, maintenance and construction. Received Navy Commendation Medal for improving maintenance shop productivity, material availability and implementation of new computer system for project planning and tracking.

OWNER's REP for Federal Government on National Park Service Project Because of my years of experience and expertise in government contracting, for the past 19 months have been working with the Louis Berger Group, Inc. as the Federal Government s Onsite Construction Manager for 2 projects totaling over $2.2M dollars, at a National Park, overseeing different GCs for each project and dealing with all segments of the projects from submittal review and Precon, to change orders, daily progress, disputes, invoice approval and final closeout. The projects consisted of clearing and grading, asphalt road and trail construction and repair, stormwater system installation, electrical upgrades, stone entrance wall construction and outdoor lighting, all in a highly protected and historical environment
