I worked in the legal department of a NYSE listed online foreign exchange and equities broker that has operations around the world and is regulated in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority. In this role, amongst other things, I: • Advised key business functions and management on legal issues affecting various aspects of day-to-day operations. • Managed corporate matters touching the wider group, including dividend payments, incorporation and restructuring. • Oversaw the European group’s corporate immigration program. • Ensured compliance with all Company Secretarial requirements for each UK company; including two FCA regulated entities. • Drafted and negotiated all European (and many global) sales promotions in coordination with the Compliance and Marketing departments. • Worked in collaboration with directors to manage all aspects of UK board meetings; from developing board packs to producing and circulating consolidated minutes. • Assisted a global legal team with cross-jurisdictional matters, including litigation, contract drafting and legal research. • Developed and implemented processes to improve and streamline the legal offering.

I was part of an electronic music duo that gained extensive experience in writing, production and DJing. Amongst other things, we: • Released original music on global labels including Ministry of Sound and Dim Mak, as well as niche labels including Bad Life and Cheap Thrills. • Produced commissioned remixes of various renowned artists including a worldwide number one single. • Toured extensively across the UK and Europe, playing at some of the most respected clubs in the world. • Went on tour with Groove Armada as the support act on their final live tour in 2010. • Launched and operated monthly club nights at various venues across the country, booking internationally recognised DJs and Brit Award winning artists. • Developed commercial relationships with various brands.
