Joined Cabot (then Sinomine) after completion of FOG Rehabilitation Ground Support project. Assisted in various areas including mine engineering design/scheduling/planning, QA/QC, ISO 9001 compliance/auditing/improvement and H&S compliance and improvement in underground operations. Formerly owned by Cabot Corporation (sold July of 2019)

Assisted project team in completion of $35m critical ground support rehabilitation project.

Project Manager for Hinge/007 Ventilation Upgrade. Project size of over 2 million dollars. Scope included cost control, procurement, contract tender/analysis/awarding, scheduling, budgeting and contract creation/management. Provide underground survey services including line, grade, long hole stope markup, diamond drill layout, alimak raise setup and laser line installation. -Assist in completing as built prints of mined areas -Provide pay period and month end survey volumes and footages for invoicing purposes

* Responsible for supervising mine technical group, as well as mining contractor senior team to ensure the following. * Assist in implementing the vision for the growth of the mine department and direct reports that will support all levels of growth within the operation. * Control all accounting related to mining contractors, including reviewing accuracy of invoices. * Assist in providing overall direction for design and execution of the mine plan. * Assist in short and long term planning, and capital, operating and maintenance budgets. * Assist in overseeing the maintenance of pit control standards. * Co-ordinate the activity of mine personnel, with emphasis on safety.

* Coordinate and direct mine operations group or mining contractor with key functions * Communicating and directing plans on a day to day, and week to week basis to equipment operators * Ensure geological/grade mapping of dig blocks * Provide support for production crews, balancing haulage cycles, ensuring maximum utilization and productivity of equipment * Direct mining contractor when Mine Superintendent is Offsite * Supervising survey and technical crews (consisting of surveyors, mine technicians, geologists, engineers in training and students ), promoting teamwork that supports pit production * Ensure geotechnical monitoring and data collection programs are implemented effectively * Grade evaluations and estimates, maintenance of ore reserve data * Mentor and coach new and young personnel in the department

* Provide open pit engineering and geological services * Drill and blast pattern design, analysis and optimization * Assist in face and slope monitoring, read and maintain geotechnical instrumentation * Project manage areas such as waste dumps, tailings facility and ore stockpiles. Ensuring correct placement of material and work conducted according to plan * Provide input for production and planning through volume calculation, strategic planning and reconciliation.

Provide open pit surveying services -Set out of all dig limits, crest and toe limits, grade control, blast hole drill locations, exploration drill holes and all project-based survey control. Pickup including all end of month surveys, progressive pit surveys, all miscellaneous infrastructure, exploration drill holes and project asbuilts. -Preparation of mining plans, processing of end of month volumes, stockpile volumes, drainage and road designs and processing of pit wall monitoring data. Equipment used -Trimble RTK R8 GPS receivers, Trimble VX total station/scanner, Vulcan 3D software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Provide underground surveying services -Pickup of jumbo and sill development, diamond drill holes, shrinkage stopes and alimak raises. Set out of jackleg longhole drilling, diamond drill holes. Mining direction given using line and grade pins, also using McGarf lasers. -Issuing of mining instructions, end-of-month reporting of survey volumes and advances, maintenance of all survey equipment, ordering and inventory of all survey required equipment. Equipment used -Leica 1200 TCRA Total Station with Gijima toughbook used as Bluetooth controller, Autocad software, Gijima Suite software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Provide underground surveying services -Supervise survey crew consisting of two assistant surveyors. Assign daily tasks, follow up on performance, mentor and coach staff members. -Set out of blast holes for open stoping, pickup of rooms & pillars, scans of open stopes, mining direction given using roof/grade pins & lasers, supervision of two surveyors, end-of-month surveys of lead/zinc concentrates & ore stockpile. -Issuing of mining instructions, maintenance of survey control database, end-of-month reporting of survey tonnages, end-of-month processing & modeling of all mined drifts. Equipment used -Leica 1100 & 1200 TCRA Total Stations, Reigl Scanner, Vulcan 3D Software, Polyworks Scanner Software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Provide underground surveying services -Ore & development drive pickup, diamond drill hole pickup & set out, ore mapping pickup, setout of production blast holes for stoping, mining direction given using paint-lines and lasers, open stope cavity monitoring, maintenance of wall station & back control and assisting in day to day operations in the open pit survey team. -Processing & updating pickup information, issuing mining instructions, maintaining survey control filing systems, processing open stope scans and end of month reporting of volumes & meters mined. Equipment used -Leica 1100 TCRA Total Stations, Optech Cavity Monitoring System, Vulcan 3D Software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Provide open pit surveying services -Drill blast set out, pit-wall monitoring, end-of-month open pit pickups, stockpile pickups, exploration drill hole set out & pickup, set out of roads & other services, maintenance of survey control. -Processing end of month surveys for reporting of volumes mined, as-built comparisons using survey information, preparation of daily plans for survey work and updating of pit wall monitoring spreadsheet. Equipment used -Trimble 5700 RTK GPS, Geodimeter 610 Total Stations, Vulcan 3D Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
