Overhauled the existing IT system and business model during the Surgery’s merging with another medical practice. This involved introducing a new clinical system, unifying their separate databases and ensuring compatibility between the two sites housing over 70 staff and 20,000 patients. Customised user templates and protocols based on client requirements whilst coordinating all upgrades. Facilitated the training of staff by creating manuals and lessons for users with varying IT literacy, at the same time ensuring the continuation and enhancement of services.

Responsible for the processing of planning applications and related matters, resulting in report writing and formulation of recommendations on all types of application to the Regulatory Board. Answering enquiries via telephone, email and face to face where professional advice is required. Consultations with statutory and other bodies, other Council departments and the general public.

Leading the data analysis of clinical information, ensuring quality in all monthly claim forms and electronic patient records whilst contributing to national databases through prevalence reporting. Working within the practice and the Sussex Health Informatics Centre to develop local and regional templates and searches for general use. Being the first point of contact for all IT queries within the practice, and often being consulted on software issues throughout West Sussex.

Worked in conjunction with the Seychelles National Parks Authority and other affiliates to complete data collection surveys of reef flora and fauna populations. Contributed to local environmental education programmes. Assisted the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles with specific focuses on the energy budgets of Green and Hawksbill Turtles, which included the production of technical outputs for scientific journals.
