My responsibilities included all aspects of the practice of law, with assignments primarily from insurance companies to defend insureds in lawsuits for money damages claimed by plaintiffs, preparing agreed upon litigation plans, implementing the plans, developing and evaluating evidence, engaging in settlement dialogue when possible and taking matters to trial when necessary

I started my career prosecuting misdemeanors in the Criminal Division of the City Attorney's Office, and then defended the City on any type of claim a plaintiff could bring against the City, including auto accidents, claimed dangerous conditions of public property and claims against police officers.

From 1975 to 1982, I worked for this Orange County law firm defending lawsuits on assignment from insurance companies involving claims of personal injury, including medical malpractice.

I defended cases on assignment from insurance companies, defending insureds, primarily on claims of personal injury.

Defense of lawsuits assigned to me either from insurance companies, or directly from clients concerning claims for which no insurance applies. I have been defending all types of claims of personal injury, breach of contracts, claims of alleged exposure to mold or other claimed habitability conditions in rental housing, claims of sexual harassment or other harassment in the workplace, claims of discrimination in employment or housing under federal or state law and claims that certain conditions on the properties of clients might not comply with guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act. I am on the Board of Directors of the Apartment Association of Orange County, and provide seminars to landowners and managers on issues of habitability, workplace harassment and the Americans with Disabilities Act. I am available to act as a mediator to help other litigants resolve their matters without the necessity of trial.
