Todd Buchholz

Former White House director of economic policy, regular commentator on NPR's “Marketplace,” past managing director of the $15 billion Tiger hedge fund and critically acclaimed author, Todd Buchholz has the inside track on how worldwide events influence today’s economic environment. Buchholz contributes opeds to the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and the Washington Post, and is a frequent commentator on ABC News, PBS, Fox and CBS. He also has hosted his own special on CNBC. The Wall Street Journal named Buchholz's book THE PRICE OF PROSPERITY: Why Rich Nations Fail and How to Renew Them (HarperCollins) a "must-read." Buchholz has authored numerous best-selling books, including the critically acclaimed “Market Shock,” “New Ideas from Dead Economists,” “From Here To Economy” and “Bringing the Jobs Home.” His business leadership book, “Lasting Lessons from the Corner Office," is used in business schools throughout the world. His book "Rush: Why We Thrive in the Rat Race" was named to the recommended reading list by the LA Times. An award-winning economics teacher at Harvard where he won the Allyn Young Teaching Prize, he holds advanced degrees in economics and law from Cambridge and Harvard, as well as several engineering and design patents. In 2009 Buchholz served as a Fellow at Cambridge University and in 2024 was named a fellow at Yale University's Branford College. He is also CEO of the new educational software company Sproglit, LLC., and co-producer of the Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical, “Jersey Boys.”
