Mental Health Specialist is a member of the Crisis Team at the Seguin EOU and is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for short-term stabilization of behavioral health symptoms and linkage to community services. The Mental Health Specialist will be proficient in therapeutic interactions and provide direct client supervision. Required to provide crisis intervention services to clients who are a danger to themselves or others. Monitoring clients’ treatment progress and keep track of clients mental status. The Mental Health Specialist completes associated documentation for the client and the program. The Mental Health Specialist is trained to provide administrative backup functions to assist in the unit in all crisis situations.

Assist with walking and light exercise, plan and prepare meals, make beds and change linens, light house cleaning, assist with daily hygiene, laundry and ironing, run errands, engage in physical and mental exercises, provide medication reminders, escort on appointments, escort to religious services or events, maintain calendar, organize mail and companionship

Complete title applications for used cars and new cars, collect money, post payments, write receipts, assist Office Manager with end of the month/year closings, researching Motor Vehicle questions to provide appropriate response, responsible for accurate files and filing, ensure accuracy of funds collected, posting all transactions to accounts, cash/check bank deposits, drove and picked up vehicles from other dealerships/auctions, responsible for entering all vehicle warranty claims, responsible for collecting funds on all warranty claims and posting all funds received.
