Head of Supply Chain & Logistics | Health Systems Strengthening | Pharmaceutical Operations @ Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies-MEDS

About

I am a pharmaceutical supply chain and public health operations leader with over a decade of experience strengthening national and county-level health systems in Kenya. I currently lead Supply Chain and Logistics at MEDS, overseeing end-to-end health commodities management that supports thousands of health facilities nationwide. My work spans procurement, forecasting, GMP/GDP-compliant operations, warehousing, distribution, supplier engagement, quality assurance, and donor-funded program support—always with a focus on reliability, stewardship, and patient impact. Previously, as County Pharmacist and Head of Health Products and Technologies in Meru County, I led the transformation of county pharmaceutical systems. This included reducing stockouts, improving reporting accuracy, strengthening LMIS, expanding workforce capacity, and supporting increased investment in health commodities. At the core of my work is a simple belief: strong supply chains save lives. I am deeply committed to building resilient, data-driven systems that ensure consistent access to quality medicines and medical supplies, particularly in resource-constrained settings. I bring a solid foundation in industrial pharmacy, pharmaceutical research, and process innovation, which informs how I approach quality, efficiency, and product stewardship across the supply chain. I value collaborative leadership, continuous learning, and practical innovation, and I welcome meaningful engagement with professionals and partners working to strengthen health systems locally and globally
