I taught and encouraged children with autism spectrum disorders using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, collected data used to track the progress of each child I worked with, and protected their private information in compliance with HIPAA.

I reported directly to the Assistant Director for Admissions to assist in maintaining the efficiency of large scale campus days by communicating with supervisor and teammates. Additionally, I represented the University by giving walking tours of campus to prospective students and parents while answering their questions about University policies, housing, student life, and more.

During my internship with Volunteers in Medicine, I gladly assisted patients with scheduling appointments in person and via telephone, interpreted live conversations between doctors and Spanish-speaking patients, completed a HIPAA course and handled private health information with discretion.

During my dual internship with AmeriCorps and United Way of the Lowcountry I tutored small groups of elementary grade children with a specific focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and phonics. I continued to serve as a volunteer for the summer reading program at Port Royal Elementary School for the month of June 2016, during which time I provided individual and small-group tutoring, monitored students during lunch and recess, facilitated various learning games and activities, and assisted the two teachers I worked with in grading student work and other tasks as assigned.
