Greetings. Well, it's been an interesting 2026 so far. After three years of employment I left Porter Airlines, and took a job with Rose International as a Contract Grant Assessor. This was an opportunity that I welcomed as it was working remotely for the Government of Alberta (GoA) in the area of grants as I have an extensive experience in this area from when I worked for Municipal Affairs (GoA) when I had three different grants to work on at one time from what I called birth to death. As it had been a while since I did this type of work, especially when I last did it, it was with paper and is now electronic, the bones of the work did not change and although I was challenged at first, I successfully dived in and was able to work on past grants that were in need of closing and each one presented itself with new information and variables. Unfortunately the GoA has decided to end this contract with my current employer, so I'm free to hire. In my previous position with Porter Airlines, I worked as a Call Centre Agent, then moved quickly to a Lead position, then Chat Agent and finally to Travel Agency Services area as an Agency Services Advocate. I'm very grateful to have been able to work in different areas of the company where needed. I learned so much about the aviation world. Previously, I worked for the Government of Alberta - Municipal Affairs - Alberta Emergency Management Agency. This is where I worked on grants as I previously mentioned. My job title was Training Coordinator of which I coordinated emergency training courses for people in Alberta who were in a role that was related to emergency management. I also worked with the Federal Government when they had courses that were specific to First Responders and I would enroll them in the courses and work with the feds collaboratively.
